300% SPANISH DESIGN
The icons of the Spanish design of the 20th century show themselves in Costa Rica
From May 18, the State Society for the Cultural Exterior Action (SEACEX) will inaugurate in the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Design of San José (Costa Rica), after his step along Saitama, Lisbon, Athens, Shangai, Pekin, Fortaleza and Sao Paulo, the sample " 300 % Spanish Design " in that, across a varied selection of objects of Spanish artists of the 20th century as Picasso, Miro, Gaudí, Dalí, I Clown around, Marshall or Tusquets will analyze the creative richness of our movable, industrial and graphical design during the last hundred years. The exhibition is constructed in two parts: in the first, so called room of being, there will be able to be contemplated, close to diverse projections, a great variety of objects that have had origin in our country, from the chuppa chupps to the kitchen-maid,passing for the ranges or the regional suits, besides diverse furniture and own pieces of the popular culture. In the second part, which goes for showing name of pieces, there show themselves 100 chairs, 100 lamps and 100 graphical works. Beside appearing the most representative works of famous painters, sculptors or architects who understood the design as part of his artistic activity there will be studied, from a properly aesthetic approach, managerial offers that have had great commercial acceptance in this field or advertising images carried of books and corporate images elaborated by big professionals of the design.
